JayGee's Nook - Happy Mother's Day

It's Sunday, and that menas I am back with another card for JayGee's Nook.  This week I have combined some sets to make a Mother's Day card.  I have used a new set from Jane's Doodles called 'Mother's Flowers', and an older set from BasicGrey called 'Luscious Patterned Flowers'.  Even though I LOVE getting new stuff, I still like to keep using old favourites.  I made the frame using square nesties.

There are lots of new goodies arriving at the SHOP, and our new Challenge will start next week (6th May).

Happy Birthday ...

I have tried this style of card before HERE, and for some reason needed to try another one.  I really do love using names on cards for kids, but sometimes you just can't fit it in anywhere.  This is my solution...

... and Good Morning Crafty People.  I am back today with another card for JayGee's Nook.  I have used a gorgeous stamp from Sparkle Creations called 'Rollerblading Chloe'.  I remember years and years ago travelling to New York with a girlfriend and one of the things on my shopping list was a set of rollerblades.  I still have them, but they haven't seen daylight for a long, long time LOL!

Anyway, back to business ... it is another sad week here as we are saying goodbye to one of our DT girls, Iwona.  I know she is making some changes in her life and wish her all the best.

A Fond Farewell ...

Crochet {two}

Hello

Here is another crochet project that I was asked to do a couple of weeks before Christmas.  A Christening Shawl.   It needed to be done before I went away and I had no pattern, but I did have a chrochet shawl that my oldest son recieved when he was born, so I copied that.

I am sorry but I don't have the exact measurements, and I was so rushed with it, I didn't write the pattern down ...

Fortunately I was able to work out the correct stitches and did more rows on each section as the yarn and crochet hook were a different size.

Hook:  4.5 mm
